We all know about the new concept coined by google - Universal Search. Just to recap, Universal Search will integrate all the searches made into different vertical search engines (images, video, news, etc…) into their regular search results.

After this, we have already seen lots of buzz in the industry. Everyone is talking about it. And it’s very logical as well.

Universal Search is wide concept and links varies facets of internet marketing. So when you are planning you strategy, it has to be wide-range content strategy. Here are some of the points worth looking into in terms of Universal Search

  • While using images, try to see how you can arrange it, i.e. categorize them. You can also consider adding related keywords to both the name of the images and the “Alt Text”
  • Give full and descriptive information about the video while uploading them into any video sites.
  • Never build a wall around your content, video or any useful tolls. In short, your Mantra should be [Promote, Promote & Promote]. Spread them; create awareness through blogs, press release, etc. Popularity will bring more authority to your content.
  • Visitors and customers are the King. Give them what they want. Make life comfortable for them by giving useful information, proper navigation, etc…
  • Create useful widgets. Everyone loves it.
