Technorati - New Look Again

After the historic acquisition of YouTub, FedBurner [it’s open now that it’s going to Google] Technorati, a blog search engine of its own has really decided to attract big buyers. They are really up now. We have already seen a release of some cool widgets for which they did conducted a review [which I think was a great move] and now they are changing their look almost every quarter.
In the latest relaunch, they have added a scrolling live ticker on top [which I think is of no use], though the rest of the page was thankfully cleaned up a bit. I think still there’s long way to go for them as many will agree that they are still not the best blog search engine on the web. Example being, Google Blog Search returns 169 results for sergey brin marriage [if you don’t him them let me introduce him [he is Google’s Co-founder] at this time, and Technorati returns “There is nothing in the known universe about sergey brin marriage.”
I still think, there is long way to go. If they are really thinking of outclass Google, atleast in terms of blog search then they really need to think hard on their codes and algo rather then focusing on the Layout.
But count my wishes, for what they’re looking, perhaps in 2008!
