We all know that the battle between the two giants Microsoft vs Google is on. It’s a battle for search supremacy. Whatever the eventual outcome, consumer will be the real winners.

The strategies adopted by both software giants shows how difficult the challenge is. Both rivals have deployed separate search services aimed at the Internet, news and shopping. Google has its newsgroup search function which is well regarded and for Microsoft its BlogBot which giving them specialization into Blogs field.

Google’s forthcoming public listing will give the search giant even more financial resources, while Microsoft doesn’t mind throwing money at markets it hasn’t yet come to dominate.
